The "St. Joe Wrappers," as we fondly call them, came to the DLSEC office for the 11th year to wrap almost 200 Christmas gifts for DLSEC students and staff. Each year, the St. Joe Wrappers walk over from their school to wrap all of the presents that have been purchased for RISE and GOALS students. The student presents are sponsored by the local Lions Clubs from Hallettsville, Shiner, Yoakum and Yorktown. Santa will deliver the gifts to the students at the annual Christmas Program and Party to be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. This year, the students also helped wrap DLSEC staff gifts. The St. Joe Wrappers are treated to cookies, Capri Sun, and candy canes after their wrapping task is completed before they head back to school. Amy Barrera and Cindy Goodrich brought the students and assisted with the wrapping. DLSEC staff greatly appreciates the relationship we have developed with the St. Joe Wrappers.
