Miss Welch's class has been learning about recycling. Students learned about materials that can be recycled, what recycling is and how it helps the environment and our planet. The students worked in groups to design their own creations using recycled materials. They created a racecar, a hot air balloon, a pig. a dog and a puppet complete with strings!
Students also read an article in News2You about "Dig Zone," a construction-themed amusement park. Through their reading, they learned about various construction equipment and what a construction worker's job is. They then followed a recipe to make and taste delicious "dirt dip"!
